How Miley Cyrus Got Her «Golden Goddess» Glow at the 2024 Grammys

[ad_1]

From her captivating rendition of «Flowers» to clinching her first (and second!) Grammy awards, Miley Cyrus undeniably had a stellar night. Winning in the categories of Pop Solo Performance and Record of the Year, Cyrus exuded Grammy-worthy glamour throughout. Her multitude of outfit changes, including a stunning Gucci gown and a vintage Bob Mackie creation, only added to the excitement of the evening.

Yet, amidst the reflective metallic garments, it was Cyrus’s hair that stole the spotlight. Inspired by a blend of punk and Raquel Welch from the ’70s, hairstylist Bob Recine fashioned a voluminous, swept-back blowout that exuded drama and bounce. However, beneath the Barbarella-inspired locks, the makeup proved equally deserving of accolades.

James Kaliardos, Cyrus’s trusted makeup artist, crafted a look described as «luminous and glowy, like a golden goddess.» This radiant makeup perfectly complemented Cyrus’s confident lioness hairstyle and her golden Maison Margiela red carpet dress, ensuring Cyrus shone like the star she is on her triumphant Grammy night.

To make sure Miley felt like herself on the red carpet and «not too done, not too fake, not too Grammy Awards,» Kaliardos created a classic look with «her beauty reinforced.» He turned to all Pat McGrath Labs products to give Cyrus a golden beat.

Obviously, a goddess glow starts at the skin. So, to prep her base, Kaliardos applied both the Divine Skin: Rose 001 Essence ($86) and The Essence Skin Fetish: Sublime Perfection Primer ($40) before going in with any makeup. Then, to make the star’s complexion all the more glowy, he applied the fan-favorite Skin Fetish: Sublime Perfection Foundation ($69) before adding more coverage with the Skin Fetish: Sublime Perfection Concealer ($34)—both in shade light 4.

Then the fun comes in—blush, lips, and eyeshadow. Using the same product Pat McGrath used to give some glow at the ultra-viral Maison Margiela Couture show, Kaliardos applied the Divine Blush: Legendary Glow Colour ($29) in shades Forbidden Fleur and Fleurtique to cheeks.

Cyrus’s mesmerizing eyes were the highlight of her look, enhanced by the Bridgerton Skintillating Diamond Body Shimmer in Golden Majesty ($43). A combination of Mothership X: Moonlit Seduction in shade Astral Gold Lust ($128) and ChromaLuxe Artistry Pigment in Golden Seductress ($35) adorned the inner corners of her eyelids, blending seamlessly to create a soft wash of golden glitter matching her dress and Grammy awards.

For her lips, the celebrity makeup artist opted for PermaGel Ultra Lip Pencil in Nude Venus ($29), known for its long-lasting wear during performances, paired with MatteTrance Lipstick Heart’s Desire Edition in Honey Haze ($39).

«The final result is simply stunning, with impeccably sculpted features and a cohesive golden palette, punctuated by the golden goddess accents.» Additional dusting of the Bridgerton body shimmer on her skin completed the look, ensuring Cyrus was ready to shine and win big at the Grammys.
